Spring pool Glass Factory trip

Today we went to spring pool glass factory on Neo Pu Road, it is about twenty minutes away from our school. On the way to the Spring Pool glass factory, I've just found out that there's also lots of glass factories sits on Neo Pu Road. After listening to the manager's presentation, I've know that because of the mass of natural gass and silicon ,therefore Hsinchu have become the famous glass production city in Taiwan.

During the time when we are visting around the factory, every workers are really concentarted on their own work, cause each of those machine are working with high temperture which will definitely be dangerous. There's not must face expression on those worker's face, I think is becuase of those high temperture and their carefullness, but I can feel their impression of doing glass by looking from their glass.

Today in Global Ethic, Kevin is the one that teach us lesson about Austria. In today's overall lesson is base on the some basic information and the history of Austria,and also learn about what is xenophobia. After that we read some articles of Austria and discuss about it.

During the two activities, it was interesting and I have learn pretty much of it. From the first reading activity Quikwrite, we are reading an article is about what happen to the Austria society now, and what do the Austrians thinks about got control by lots of different countries before, for example like the German, Romans and French. After finish reading that article, it have makes me think of Malaysia, Because from my research of Malaysia. Before they have also got control by lots of different countries and lots of foreigners came. So it have cause the country become have no identity. From the second activity, we have split into groups and argue prompt which relate to the Austria. I think the last activity is also pretty good, because the prompt have include all the information that he teach first and have organize all the ideas together in the end.

the wrinkles on her face remind me of time

Ancient Greece enviornment

Greek environmental status was very unstable; Greece is smack-dab in the middle of an active volcanic zone, so earthquakes and volcanoes eruptions were very common and because of this, oracles became popular in Greece. Oracle is when god speaks to the people about what will happen in the future. Also, the soil in Greece was not very good for growing crops or plants because there are many mountain ranges, rocks and it always lacked enough amount of fresh water. Based on the reasons above, people did not like to live in Greece, therefore, most of them moved to Egypt and Fertile Crescent (which is in West Asia). Most of the people that lived in Greece are soldiers.

There are also many beaches in Greece. People only need to spend few days of walking time to get to the sea because the distance from the center of Greece to different coasts is only fourty miles away from the sea. There are many islands out side of Greece. Because they lived close to the sea, they relied on fishery. Most of the Greek cities are around the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea, so Greeks often sail trade from one city to another. They also send their own soldiers out to help other countries to fight, but those countries needs to pay them money.

kuso is a word and that means you do some thing fun and joke , it is a word from japan. the reason i think this word become popular is when japan start the kuso fashion and lots of country start using that word on clothing or even on the TV show . so "kuso" this word is become popular and popular in other countries. i don't think we change the meaning for "kuso" in Taiwanese version .i think that kuso will mess or play with dominant/mainstream or corporate culture is because it express what the teenager like , like to design some funny word (swear word) or picture on the clothing , they want to be cool and special . So i think that is the main reason that kuso is so popular now .

I'm a monkey,and I live in a really nice forest. There are lots of beautiful tall trees and delicious fruits. Everything was so peaceful and good until one day we saw some animals. They wore strange things on their bodies. They carried a strange little silver shiny box and a long thin shiny stick. When those people saw us, they started running toward us. At first I thought they just wanted to play with us. But after a minute, I saw that they caught my family and friends and threw them rudely into a big box made with some shiny branches. I was so scared, I don’t know what should I do, at the same time I feel lonely, lots of my friends and family got caught. Suddenly I felt got poke by some sharp thing on my leg, slowly I felt dizzy, and than things in-front of my eye turn black.

When I opened my eyes again, I was in another forest. There were still trees around, but not as many as in my home. Outside of the trees were lots of cold shiny bars. Outside the bars there were lots of animals standing around and looking at me. I didn’t know why they were looking at me, and I didn’t know why I was here. Where were my friends and family? I felt so scared and lonely. After that day, I didn’t laugh anymore. One day, there was a man. He came into my place, and took me to a small shiny box. He carried me to a big strange stuff , It could move very fast, but it was very nosey. I closed my eyes because I was so tired. The fruit I have now is not good us the fruits I have in my homeland.

I opened my eyes. This was another different place, and there were no trees around. There was a big puffy colorful house. The men brought me in to the house. There were lots of animals in there. But they didn’t all look happy, Suddenly a big hand grabbed me out from the cage, and he put a cold heavy thing on my neck. It was so uncomfortable; I felt pressure on my neck. After a few minutes, the men put me on a big colorful ball and wanted me to stand and walk on it. But I failed. The guy grabbed a big stick and hit so hard on my body. And he put me back up the ball and wanted me to do it again. After a few days, I was so tired. They wanted me to practice those tricks everyday, and if I failed, they would whip me so hard with a stick and not give me food to eat.

I couldn’t stay here anymore, and I DIDN’T WANT to stay here anymore longer. I want to go back to my beautiful homeland. So one night I decided to escape from the horrible place. I ran as fast us I could. I didn’t sleep for many days, because I didn’t want to let those people get me and I wanted to back to my home.

After two weeks I finally got back, but things were so different. Those beautiful tall trees and fruit trees have disappeared! Someone cut them! Where did the trees go? Where did the fruits go? I'm so hungry ... and I'm so tired.... where’s my home?

reflection of "Instinct"

Instinct is a pretty touching movie, it's help me connect all the information in Ishmael. And now my brain really start thinking about those serious problems that takers do. In the begging of the movie, i just think Ethan is a person who have mental problems, things that he said was just not really important. But when he talks about his memories with wiled gorillas, i slowly understand why he chose not to talk and hate people. Another point i think it touches me a lot is when those black prison is bully others to get the ace card and go out for free, this have shows the weak are the prey of the strong in the world. Because Takers they have better technology weapon ,so they kill the leavers and rule them ,cause takers thinks they are the best .But that's wrong, and i agree what Ethan said, everyone is equal , no one has the right to control others!!

Reflection of Chapter 10

In chapter 10, is basically is talking about "Takers" are the people that destroy and making our world become worse. Takers are the people who steal the things that leavers have, and start ruling the world.

After reading this chapter, i start thinking about some questions. Why humans wants to change the world by destroying their own nature ? Why can't we just live with simple primitive nature that we have before? if humans don't invent those technology machine , we don't need to worry about lots of pollution and global warming issue now! Human thinks , all invention that we make is helping the world become better. But we are not! because of all the things that humans do , it's just slowly making our world become worse. And those terrible global issue that humans bring up , is not just damaging our self,we are also damaging those innocent animals.

After watching this article ,I was very shock of what he did. He believes that using violent ways to control a country is the best way. I think he doesn't realize that violent is the most terrible and wrong to rule people. He doesn't care about what his civilians feel and think; he kills all the people who don't agree with him. He thinks the things he did for his country is good and helpful because he got the tree of knowledge. But in reality, I don't think he understand anything from the tree of knowledge. I think he should go look around Zimbabwe and look at all the civilians who suffer because of what he had done, and think about how can he make Zimbabwe better place. He should stop all the crazy violent things now!!

in this talk , is talking about bacteria is the ruler of the world. everything is made for bacteria. at first , i believe that human was the ruler of the world ,but after watching this talk. i think bacteria is the real ruler of the world, because bacteria is just what everything is made from. there are bacteria everywhere,even in human body.

each of the bacteria is just like a very important piece of gear, if one of them work wrong or disappear . the world we live is going to become different , also if there's a bacteria in human body is wrong, it can cause human become sick or die. so everything is made of bacteria , if there's no bacteria than there's no us

From today’s reading we know Ishmael thinks that there are laws for living. And I agree, because I think humans learn from their mistakes. Every time we correct our mistakes, we improve.. Just like the example that Ishmael gave us, people who try to fly puts on one wing first, if they fail then they will put on another wing. Another reason that I think civilization is built by laws is because we have lots of different cultures in the world , and every culture starts with a different way of living , but slowly we find that actually we are just living in the same way.

Everything is created for me!

Who am I ??

You will know after I talk about my self, why would I say that everything on earth is created by me? Since 4 hundred million years ago, I was already live on earth. Way earlier than those bumptious human beings, I have live in lot of different kinds of ages we can survive in any different kinds of environment; also we eat all the things around us. And the most important reason that we can live for this long time is we have strong production.

Now in this technology environment .those human beings have created lots of machines and buildings, which destroy and change the entire natural environment around us. Lots of our friends died because of not adapted to it. Human thinks we are disgusting and dirty, because we will spread the virus, so they invent those pesticides to kill us. But slowly we have resistance to those kinds of pesticides, so those bumptious human beings start invent those pesticides that is more poison. Because of inventing those dangerous poison pesticides, it is also causing the pollution of the environmental. I don’t get why the human will wants to invent something that is also going to damage their own lifes. Why don’t they want to live with us?

How do we become aware of the ethical and social norms in our societies? Most of the time, I become aware of them through the news and television programs that I read and watch. I sensed and realized that something is not right and hope that it won’t occur again or I wouldn’t commit the same mistakes. But I still believe that some people choose not to abide by the ethical and social rules, these people choose to hurt and disrupt the order in our societies. Will these people want to be conscious of the ethical and social rules? I think that depends on their morals, because our elders will tell you to follow the ethical and social rules, but no one can force you to do so. Take for example murderers who choose to ignore their morals, their conscience and their humanity.   

TED movies reflection

We watched two TED movies today. The movies mostly talked about the different cultures and languages around the world. I’m sure everyone knows there are tons of different kinds of cultures and languages in the world. But most of the cultures or languages we’re familiar with are those associated with better economy and technology. I was pretty surprised when I learned from the movie that more than half of those 6000 languages are gone or at least not taught anymore today. I feel sad about these vanishing languages because every language comes from a different culture and these varied cultures will be gone before we get to know them.  

After watching this movie, I was also pretty surprised to know that there are small groups of people who still live with their primitive cultures. Before, I thought no people lives like that because we are now in the 21st century with tremendous technological advances. 

Will I want to go and live in a place like them (with no technology)?? I think this is a pretty interesting question, because I’m born in an industrialized country with its hi-tech comforts. But I think I would like to try to live in a place with no technology, a different culture and a different language. I think people should sometimes try something different in their lives, try to fit in a place you have never heard about or been to. I might like living in a place where you utilize natural means and resources than living around technology..

Most of the choice that human made mostly are good ourself , but contrary most of them are that good for natural. news from every day are talking about are all kinds of global issue, but what and how cause those terrible global issues . the answer is human, we are the people that choice to killed and destory our home. when the tecnology is geting better, factories start become popular around the world.i believe that lots of people knows that the ordure from the factories is going to cause the pollution ,but most of the people who build the factories did not really care about it ,they just care about making the money as fast as they can.

i think it's going to be sad and frightened . becuase you got send away from you home ,and bring to a place that you have never being . in that place , actually there's no freedom for it . you can just walk around in that small place , and every day there's going to be lots of people that standing few meters away from you and see what are you doing . even people decorate your cage like you home , but i don't think we will not get use to it . becuase there's nothing can to relpace our home .

The person i choice , her name is Casey Robbins .she is a 16 year old girl from US . she wants to help the homelessness people raise awareness and money . From September 15 to Christmas Eve she spend 100 nights to sleep on the roof , outside of her house in the very cold weather . because she wants to feel what is the live like those people don't have home , so she choice to sleep outside during the winter.actually Casey's sleep have interrupted by drunken songsters, traffic, and storms. but she never give up .because sleep outside to help the homelessness people raise awareness and money , she got lots of affirmative from people , also makes some people aware about those homelessness people and raise money also come and enjoy with her. and youth director Kristen Twitchell have visited to her , and she was very proud about what she did. and now she was in Africa to participated in a medical campaign about AIDS to help those people in Africa .

The most things this girl impress me is becasue of her persist to do what she want. maybe people will think sleeping in tent outside during the winter is very easy, but i think to persist sleeping outside for 100 days is not easy . she said "sometimes is pretty cold outside and is hard to get up early in winter, but when i think of those homelessness , cold is not a big deal anymore." for me , i don't think i can't do what did she do , and i don't have that persist to sleep outside for 100 days. maybe some people will think what she did is crazy , why can't we help those homelessness people by sleeping" . but she made it, she don't care about what other people said, in the end she did make people affirmative with her and also raies money about it . so i belevie that even kids can makes the world difference just by doing some little things.

this time my teammate is Tiffany , and or topic is to make a interesting movie about who is Newton? and what is Newton's three law? i think our movie wasn't that good this time. cause we make the "teacher talking" part longer than the Newton's three laws part. and we didn't make the "example part" very clear. what changes should i make next time? i think next time we should make the part that is important longer and also put more explanation on each examples. but i think i did learn something during this times group working .

refliction of "Escape from Huang-Shi"

i pretty enjoy watching this movie. And the most thing i learn about this movie is, is possible to change the world for one person. if you willing to do , every little action and help many people and change the world. the part in movie i like the best is when Hogg willing to devote , and he believes that if he willing to devote as hard as he can , all the orphans will slowly adopt him too. so he help those kids fix the lights and house, also teach them english. slowly after few days, most of the orphans start to believe him and rely on him.
Another other things i learn from the movie is that you don't never give up, every thing i possible. in the movie hogg wants to help the orphans to find a savety place to live , so he study and work so much to prepare everything that can help them to move to the safety place. on the way to the village, he never give up his plain to the village even are difficult and arduous. i think i better imitate hogg, never give up my school work even is hard and boring.

after watching and making the landmines movie, i think i really learn a lot for it. after this lesson ,i understand how hard is to clear the landmines and we really need to help those civilans to clean those landmines, cause we don't want other innocent people to get hurt . during the time i was reaserching. the terrible things i saw was lots of victims lost their body part, but the most terrible thing was they lost their dreams! So i think now is a very good time to show everyone the movie we make , and let the how world know , we should stop produce the landmines and help those innocent people to clean the landmines.

I think this is pretty good advert about the dangerous landmines. in this movie they express it like livelihood a little girl how is going on a soccer game with her family, but suddenly the girls get bomb by the landmines. A the people in the soccer game got shock and scared, for this part of the movie shows that the civilians were worrying about their safety for living in the city. And I think this is a good movie for people to watch, and let the government to be vigilant for the safety of the civilians.

if the society would fe free from gun violence, than the world will going to died very soon. because society free of gun violence that is mean every poeple in the society can own a gun , and if you don't like someone you can just shot them down. also there are not going to have any laws or control by owning guns, everyone in the conutry can have gun , even the kids who are under the age. if that really happense , it will be very dangerous. for example : if the little kids incautious get a gun, but they thought that is a toy . and they're caring with a real gun around the streets, maybe accidently the shot someone down. or if the people who have mental proplems , it will be more dangerous if they can get a gun. as the result, if the society would be free from gun violence, people will not going to have any safety to live in the world.
